Why email to your database?

Have you ever wondered why people tell you that you should be emailing to your customers?  The reasons why are endless but here are seven of them.

It helps you to stay in contact

In these days of more competition, you need to keep your name in front of your customers and clients.  Keep them informed about what you are doing and why you are the best person in

your field to give them what they need.

It will get you ahead of the competition

And if you are ahead, it will keep you ahead.  People love to deal with the familiar, and unless there are reasons why, then they will stick with you.  All the more reason to keep in touch with your customers because they also need reasons why they should deal with you.

To set up a return visit

You have specials to offer?  Who better than to your existing satisfied customers or clients.  Use any excuse to get them back.  It doesn’t have to be a sale – it could be a new product range, or a new service you want to promote.  And if they won’t come to you, go to them – and take some muffins to eat over a coffee.

Come in and ……………………

See our new stock, meet our new staff, have a coffee, have a drink and nibbles – just come in so that we can be more friendly with you.

Thank you

The most underutilised marketing tool is a simple thank you.  Thank you for being a customer, for introducing Mr Jones, for picking us before our opposition, for pointing out our mistake last week…..  The list is endless, as are the rewards for saying Thank you.

To provide the latest information

Don’t take for granted that your customer or client base know what you are up to.  They too, are busy and will appreciate being reminded about new stuff – and they might even buy someof it.  You can also educate them about different uses for some of your products.  Never take for granted that they already know.

Tips

You’ve all read the tips I give you every month, and I don’t think for a moment that you take notice of every one of them.  But occasionally, I know that you will get something from them. They don’t need to relate to your product and they don’t have to be your own tips – you can even use the tips in this newsletter.  Just something to add a little extra can help you stand out from the rest. Your customers and clients will appreciate that you have gone out of your way to help them.

So there you go – seven reasons to email to your database -and to keep you ahead of your competitors.
